Setup & Transition Services

  • Creation of retirement plan design studies to evaluate your different design options using the information from our Request for Quote Form
  • Preparation of the required contract outlining our services and a cost schedule corresponding to those services for your completion to engage Premier RPS
  • Coordinating the change of your TPA and investment platform during transitions
  • Allocation work as necessary to complete service provider transitions
  • Access to PlanSponsorLink, the hub for your plan’s administration
  • Completion of an Employer Retirement Plan Guide to facilitate your ongoing administration
  • Communication support for you and your employees during setup and transitions

Plan Document Services

When Premier RPS maintains your retirement plan document:
  • Plan document design, preparation and periodic restatements as required
  • Preparation and maintenance of the Summary Plan Description (SPD)
  • Preparation of plan amendments (both required and discretionary) as requested or required
  • Determination letter filings with the IRS as requested

Services we provide for all of our clients:

  • Coordination of your retirement plan notices (including but not limited to: safe harbor, auto enrollment, QDIA, PPA and fee disclosure)
  • Maintaining up-to-date document and notice files on PlanSponsorLink for your access

Reporting Services

  • Creation of your signature ready Annual Return and Report (5500, 5500SF or 5500EZ)
  • Completion of your Summary Annual Report (SAR) to distribute to participants as required
  • Preparation and filing of your Form 8955-SSA when required
  • An annual Administration Report detailing your participant information, financials and testing
  • Individual benefit statements reflecting participant balances by source and vesting
  • An Executive Summary Report containing your “to-do” list
  • An annual retirement plan review with you
  • Maintaining your current and prior two years’ administration work on PlanSponsorLink for your access

Calculation & Compliance Services

  • Maintenance of your retirement plan database (including account balances and service history for eligibility and vesting)
  • Review of your annual census information collected through PlanSponsorLink
  • Trust accounting on your plan’s assets and transaction records
  • Highly compensated and key employee determinations
  • Coverage and non-discrimination testing for your plan
  • Preparation of discretionary benefit calculations for your plan and tax filing
  • The coordination of self-employment income calculations with plan funding when required
  • Top heavy testing for your subsequent plan year contributions and forecasting

Benefit Services

  • Upon request, we will provide support for severance of employment payouts from your retirement plan (including termination of employment, retirement, death and disability benefit distributions)
  • Upon request, we will provide support for in-service distributions from your retirement plan (including hardship, pre-retirement and rollover benefit distributions)
  • Upon request, we will provide participant loan support as allowed under your retirement plan document
  • Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) will be prepared for your participants as required
  • We will review Qualified Domestic Relation Orders (QDROs) and transact them when executed
  • Preparation of Forms 1099-R and 1096, when not completed by your investment provider and optionally, Form 945 for non-payroll withholding deposits from your plan

Plan Termination Services

  • Preparation of your final retirement plan document updates (including amendment or restatement)
  • Completion of your plan termination resolution for distribution to your employees
  • Upon request, preparation of a determination letter filing with the IRS on your plan’s termination
  • Completion of your final required calculations and compliance
  • Preparation of your final reporting

  • Mid-year testing as requested for your plan compliance and ongoing design evaluation
  • IRS and DOL audit support if required
  • Government correction programs (including delinquent filer, funding timeliness, form and operational failures)

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administration (including leveraged stock allocations, diversification, combined plan coordination and repurchase analysis)

  • Non-ERISA plan administration (including Solo 401(k), 457(b) tax-exempt and governmental, non-profit, church and tribal retirement plans)
